The longest journey begins with the first step… The profits from the production of this paperweight are being donated to “New Urban Arts”, a nationally recognized art studio in Providence, R.I. for high school students to be exposed to the arts. The proceeds from the sale of each of them will be donated by Carol’s Cottage by the Sea to “Room to Read”, founded by John Wood, formerly of Microsoft. It provides funds for books, schools, scholarships, and many other learning tools to help educate the world’s children; because a mind is a terrible thing to waste.
Each of us has the power to make a difference, however small, whether it be time, money, things, or a skill. Whatever your passion, get involved.
