Carol’s Cottage by the Sea is proud to carry the complete line of Sid Dickens Memory Blocks. They are handcrafted collectible pieces of art. Sid Dickens is a wonderful artist from Vancouver, Canada who has traveled extensively. His ideas have come from finding artistic beauty in the relics and cast offs of our historical past. Each Memory Block is 6 x 8 x 1 1/2 and are made of hydrostone plaster and finished to a porcelain like quality, cracked to create an aged look and feel. All Memory Blocks are hand painted and each one is considered to be a work of art. The hours of work that go into each Memory Block makes them each an individual collectible treasure.
Each year a number of Memory Blocks are retired and a new line is introduced. Upon retirement, the Blocks increase considerably in value.
